[RFE/RL] A Moscow court has sent three men to pretrial detention on suspicion of plotting a terror attack in the Russian capital. The Lefortovo district court ruled that Aslan Baisultanov, Elman Ashayev, and Mokhmad Mezhidov should be held in detention without bail until at least December 12.Federal Security Service chief Aleksandr Bortnikov said that the suspects were among a group of 12 Russian citizens who were detained on October 11.
Bortnikov alleged that Baisultanov traveled to Russia from Syria to organize a terrorist attack in Moscow. He said all of the detained men were members and supporters of the Daesh.
