Russia warns of Western misinformation over Syria airstrike
2015-10-01
[Iran Press TV] Moscow says journalists should gain information over its Arclight airstrikes on Syria from the Russian Defense Ministry and not from the Pentagon.

"Do not listen to the Pentagon about Russian strikes, ask the Russian Defense Ministry," said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov before a meeting with US Secretary of State John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry

in New York on Wednesday.

Lavrov added that all information concerning Russia's military operations in Syria had been made public at a UN Security Council ministerial meeting held earlier.

#7  Snark aside, I hope Mr. Putin is smart enough to know when to stop. A cornering rat, fearing his legacy, is a very dangerous thing.

#6  It strongly appears that, ala the Russian airstrikes agz alleged Non-ISIS targets = anti-Assad forces, that Vald = Russia intends to secure Baby Assad's base or position in Syria before going after the ISIS/ISIL full-bore.

#5  Just heard a piece about this on National People's Radio. When an NPR drone said "The Russian people only listen to state-controlled media, so they don't often hear criticism of government policies", I just about drove into a ditch laughing.

Russian air strikes or not, an unnecessary admonishment.
