![]() Late Tuesday night, faceless myrmidons launched repeated attacks against Afghan Local Police (ALP) who are deployed in Dand-e-Shahab village of Pul-e-Khumri. Several check posts were set on fire. "People's concerns deepen, the people demand peace as they can't deal with more atrocity," a resident of Baghlan said. ALP personnel on the front line were forced to evacuate their trenches on Wednesday when Taliban launched attacks on their posts. "We were forced to leave the check posts," an ALP officer said. "If reinforcements do not reach the area, the situation will deteriorate and faceless myrmidons will enter Pul-e-Khumri," deputy commander of Special Forces of police in Baghlan, Jamshid said.
