(ISIS) radical group carried out two car kabooms on Kurdish security checkpoints in the northeastern Syrian city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain). At least eight people were killed and dozens more maimed, including civilians, in the terrorist attacks, eyewitnesses told ARA News in Sere Kaniye. "The terrorist attacks hit security checkpoints held by the Asayish in central Sere Kaniye on Monday afternoon," a front man for the Asayish forces said. "ISIS gunnies try to compensate their losses in Rojava (Syria's Kurdish region) by such car kabooms," he told ARA News. Kurdish fighters of the People's Protection Units (YPG) have been combating holy warriors of the ISIS bully boy group in the countryside of Sere Kaniye for more than a year. The Asayish forces are responsibility for the maintenance of security inside the Kurdish cities and towns in northern Syria, under the umbrella of the Kurdish Auto-Administration that has been announced by the Democratic Union Party (PYD). |
