province on Friday night, local officials said.

In addition, seven other civilians were maimed in the blast.

The blast took place in Khak-e-Jabar after a civilian's vehicle struck the mine. They had been traveling into Kabul from Pashtun-infested Logar province, security head of Pashtun-infested Logar, Qari Mohammad Wora said.

"The passengers were residents of Azri district of Pashtun-infested Logar province," Wora said. "A woman is among the dead and two children were also among the injured people."

The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, he said.

No group including the Taliban has grabbed credit for the incident.
