White House Campaign Urges Legal Immigrants to Become (Voting) Citizens

[NYT] White House officials announced the start of a nationwide campaign on Thursday to encourage legal immigrants to become American citizens, which could add millions of voters to the electorate in time for the presidential election next year.

With about 8.8 million legal residents in the country who are eligible to become citizens, White House officials said they were trying to make it easier to complete the final steps to citizenship.

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, the federal agency in charge of naturalizations, will offer practice tests on cellphones for the civics exam that immigrants must pass, but which many find daunting, and will hold preparatory workshops in rural areas. Applicants will also be able to pay the fee, still a hefty $680, with a credit card.

#6 IIRC, as per CNS + LUCIANNE Artics Activist Groups were encouraging Any + All Illegal Immigrants already in or coming to the USA to become naturalized ASAP before the end of the Bammer's second term = 2017 POTUS ELection.

Their brazen act says they believe the tipping point has arrived, and if they enroll this batch of entitlement wards, they are right.

#4 This was after the administrations did away with comprehending English, taking a citizenship exam that tested the knowledge of the Constitution, and swearing an oath to uphold and defend same.

#3 There is a great need to clean house in D.C.--not just rearrange the furniture but to get all new furniture. Election 2016 may be too late to correct the damage done to this country. The Republic may have been lost due to the "fundamental transformation." Read "fundamental transformation" as grand theft.
