Guantanamo prisoner has dating profile on Match.com - and he's 'ready to mingle'

[Mirror] A prisoner at the notorious Guantanamo Bay detention camp has his own online dating profile - and says he's 'detained but ready to mingle'.

Incarcerated in the prison known as 'Gitmo' since 2007, Muhammad Rahim al-Afghani is seeking a soulmate on Match,com.

And the account, which is looked after by al-Afghani's lawyer Carlos Warner, gets matched with a lucky lady on a daily basis.

The details of al-Afghani's look-out for love have come out in letters the so-called "high value" prisoner sent to Warner, and they show a man with a sense of humour.

"This is terrible news about Ashley Madison, please remove my profile immediately!!!' al-Afghani joked in a letter from July 21.

"I'll stick with Match.com even though you say it is for old people. There is no way I can do Tinder in here."

#2  Guantanamo sounds like a hellhole, with their satellite tv, access to computers and such. I wouldn't doubt them using that site to connect with old friends.
