[Iran Press TV] Yemeni forces have seized control of four Saudi military bases in the southwestern province of Dhahran al-Janub.

...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. #3  Would I be wrong to consider this and Iranian invasion of KSA?

Yes. They're just raids. I surmise what they're going after are border police stations. Wake me up when they go after the main KSA airbase (it's in the western part of the Magic Kingdom.)

Who will be the first of the Muslim Fanatics to claim ownership of Mecca?

I doubt Mecca is in any danger any time soon.

Is there any real threat to the continuation of the Saud dynasty?

Possibly.

Are the Eastern KSA Shia restless?

Not yet. Seems the Iranians are more interested in Bahrain at this point.I suspect they're work obliquely, for a few years at least.

Invasion or raids, AlanC? All that destruction sounds more like raids to me. If they were staying, wouldn't they want to have the lookout towers, vehicles, and whatever was in the munitions depots?
