| Taliban rocket kill a woman and her 3 children in Kunar province |

| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] A woman was killed along with her three children after a rocket fired by Talibs landed in a residential house in eastern Kunar province ... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country..... According to local government officials, the incident took place in Chapa Dara district earlier today. Provincial police chief Abdul Habib Syed Kheli confirmed that a woman and her three children were killed and five others were maimed in the attack. He said the incident took place after a group of Taliban Lions of Islam launched an attack on the Afghan cops check post. Syed Kheli further added that the dead bodies of a number of Taliban Lions of Islam were also left in the area who were killed during shootout with the security forces. The Talibs group has not commented regarding the incident so far. Kunar is among the volatile provinces in eastern Afghanistan where anti-government armed bully boy groups are actively operating and frequently carry out insurgency activities. |
