Rahm Emanuel proposes record-breaking set of tax hikes to save city |
2015-09-05 |
This has been the standard playbook employed by virtually every destitute left-wing dystopia in the United States and, lo-and-behold, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is doing everything in his power to make sure his city follows suit. He's proposing a slew of new taxes, including a massive $500 million property tax increase - a modern-era record - which will fund "most" of next year's city budget gap. As CBS Chicago reports, residents are less than thrilled. |

#8 Until the average citizen learns that voting for a Democrat means higher taxes, higher crime, and lower services, this type of therapy is needed. So true. One might even think that most of the crime is being done by the Donks--inside and outside of government. |

#7 Fuck em, they re-elected that shit head. Until the average citizen learns that voting for a Democrat means higher taxes, higher crime, and lower services, this type of therapy is needed. Here in California, the citizenry has been 1984ed into believing anything. Of course, the MSM and television here NEVER reports anything about what is going on with the state government. Heck, we never learn about a new tax until it has been approved and they start collecting it. |

#6 Because that is exactly what is needed to attract new business and convince people to stay. Take more of their money. The only thing the left knows how to do is to steal what belongs to someone else. |

#4 Maybe Emanuel should consider resigning and tossing out the rest of the political elite before leaving. |

#3 The tipping point will be Boeing moving its corporate headquarters again, not back to Seattle, but to Charlotte, NC. |
