...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... -inspired holy warriors. Officials tell The News Agency that Dare Not be Named the options include added security or a possible withdrawal. The US forces have helped marshal peace there since Egypt's 1979 peace treaty with Israel. Some 700 members of an Army battalion and logistics support unit are currently there. They mainly monitor and verify compliance, and have little offensive capability. Several other countries provide personnel. An expanding insurgency in the Sinai has the US concerned its forces are at risk. Officials say there are no current plans to bring the Americans home, but that various options have been reviewed.

#3 OOOOPPPPSSS, forgot to add GROONG > [ArmenPress] SIARELI SCHOLAR CALLS ON ISRAEL + ARMENIA TO "POLITICALLY ADOPT" YAZIDIS. But NOT the Paleos OF Gaza-WB??? * DEFENCE.PK/FORUMS > ISRAELI ARMY PREPARING FOR LIMITED GROUND INVASION OF SYRIA. Must traditional JUDAIC/ISRAELI SECULAR "ZIONISM" change its strategic foci or locus from expanding Israel beyond the Jordan River to the Tigris-Euphrates, as opposed to going North + South along the shores + littorals of the Med. GIVEN THE TURKEY-VS-IRAN [KSA? Other?] RIVALRY + COMPETITION FOR "SPHERE(S) OF INFLUENCE" OCCURRING JUST OVER ISRAEL'S EASTERN + NORTHERN BORDERS. Again, SOMETHING(S) GOTTA GIVE. |

#1 Though lightly armed, the Gorah base south of El Arish is still active. An IS attack could cause casualties, but would suffer in return. Still the reason for the base being there in the first place no longer exists. The Multinational Force is the subject of joint agreement, and its elimination should receive approval of both Egypt and Israel. But as it serves no actual good, both would likely agree to its denouement. |
