| Pakistani doctor treating Taliban detained in Nangarhar |

| [Khaama (Afghanistan)] Afghan cops have detained a Pak doctor who was treating Taliban in eastern Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. province. A statement issued by the police headquarters of Nangarhar province identifies the doctor as Tariq Jamal. The statement further adds that Jamal was detained among 11 suspects from the jurisdiction of Shirzad and Hirsarak districts during military operation yesterday. Including two Chechen nationals, nine bully boyz were killed and 18 others maimed in the operation that is underway under the command of 201st Seelab Corps, the blurb states. Hundreds of service members from NDS, army and police are participating in this operation that started few days before and will continue for one month. |
