#3 Some SWAT team members and supervisors however, may soon be headed to the unemployment line. I very much doubt that will happen. Police union labor contracts nearly always have firing decisions ultimately made by an arbitrator, who in turn hardly ever fires anybody. Awards for torts committed by the police will be paid for by the taxpayers. Then there are those big fat pensions waiting for the retirees. "The King can do no wrong." |

| #1 Government immunity needs to be abolished. Some very strict instances of when they can be sued need to be put in place, but in an instance like this where just gross incompetence leads to a botched raid the powers that be need to be sued and sued hard. |
