Somalia’s south-west forces’ commander, Abdullahi Sheikh Mohamed told Shabelle Media Network based in Mogadishu allied troops succeeded to flush Al Shabab out of the town, urging local residents to be calm.

Sheikh Mohamed called on government and humanitarian agencies to help poor residents living in the town of Diinsoor where Al Shabab militants had been ruling many years as residents did not get any humanitarian aid.

The Diinsoor town, a 2nd Al Shabab strategic town fell to Somalia National Army along with African Union Mission for Somalia (AMISOM) peacekeeping forces who launched new military offensive against Al Shabab.
