| Fatah Army seizes strategic hill near Jisr al-Shughour |

| [EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Fatah Army in the northern province of Idlib has captured a strategic hill near Jisr al-Shughour town on Sunday, a move that makes rebels on the track to overrun Bashir al-Assad's hometown in the coastal region. The alliance of Islamist groups, who has slowed its progress in the last few weeks, has seized control of Tal Khattab, a hill that situated between Ariha and Jisr al-Shughour towns. Rebel news feeds on Twitter said Syrian regime forces had failed to defend the hill the overlooks on that Alawite villages. Rebels' superiority in the battle was decisive, they said. Army of Fatah, a reference to the conquests that spread Islam across the Middle East from the seventh century, has seized swathes of territory northern Syrian since late of March 2015 including Idlib city, Ariha and Jisr al-Shughour. |
