| Grenade attack that injured 11 blamed on Abu Sayyaf |

| [Philstar] The military blamed a grenade attack that left 11 civilians injured in Jolo, Sulu on the Abu Sayyaf group. Col. Alan Arrojado said the attack was perpetrated by the members of the Ajang-Ajang group under its leader Ninok Sapari. He said the lone attacker hurled the grenade at an incoming military truck carrying soldiers early Tuesday morning but missed the target. The grenade landed on a group of civilian bystanders and then exploded. Arrojado said at least 11 were wounded by the blast as the suspect quickly fled on board a motorcycle towards Patikul town, a known Abu Sayyaf stronghold. |
