| Yemen rebels kill Saudi soldier in strike near border |

| Riyadh, Saudi-controlled Arabia -- The Saudi military says a soldier posted along the country’s southern border has died of wounds sustained from a missile strike launched by rebels inside Yemen. The Houthis frequently fire missiles from inside Yemen at Saudi border posts. More than two dozen Saudi soldiers have been killed in such attacks. The Saudi military said on Wednesday that the soldier was wounded at a border post in Najran and later died of his injuries. The statement did not make clear when the attack took place. Saudi Arabia is leading a coalition of countries that has been carrying out airstrikes against the Houthis since late March. |
