[Tempo] Philippine soldiers nabbed a New People's Army militant before he could detonate two improvised bombs in Eastmincom spokesman Lt. Col. Eduardo B. Gubat said Rito Lucnod, alias Junto, was arrested by troops last Monday afternoon in Pantukan town. Gubat said the police would press illegal possession of explosives and other appropriate charges against the Lucnod.
Seized were two improvised explosive devices with blasting caps, triggering devices, and electrical wire.
Eastmincom said the troops were conducting security patrol when they caught Lucnod hiding in the weeds while holding a triggering device.
