| Roadside bomb kills 5 soldiers outside Mogadishu |

| Mogadishu -- At least 5 people were killed and dozens were also injured after roadside bomb targeted a military vehicle carrying Somalia troops passing through Hawo-Abdi neighborhoods just outside Mogadishu, officials said. Military officer told Shabelle Media in Mogadishu that military pick-ups was targeted an IED that planted on the roadside, adding that it had killed at least 5 government soldiers. Somalia military forces cordoned off at the exploded area and launched an operation in the area but no one was arrested over the incident, according to local residents who spoke to Shabelle Media. Meanwhile, Somalia’s Al Shabab militants claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it had killed dozens of government soldiers including key officials in Tuesday’s bombing. |
