| Kidnapped Mellitah Oil official freed |

| [Libya Herald] Yusuf Al-Shamani, the senior administrator at Mellitah Oil and Gas, who was kidnapped four days ago, is reported to have been released unharmed today and now back with his family. It is not known if a ransom was paid. He was seized by a gang while travelling between Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... and Sabratha on Sunday. The abduction triggered protests by company employees outside the National Oil Corporation's headquarters in the capital, demanding both Shamami's release and better security for staff. |
