Iraq: 10 dead, 27 injured in Baghdad attacks |

[AA.TR] At least 10 people were killed and 27 injured Monday in several attacks across the Iraqi capital, police sources said. Officials said two national guards were killed and another two were maimed after an attack targeting their vehicle in the Abu Ghraib area on the outskirts of Baghdad. Also, two people were killed and five were maimed following the detonation of a bomb planted in a bus in the neighborhood al-Za'franiya in southeastern Baghdad. At least three people were killed and 20 were maimed in kabooms which occurred on the Diyala Bridge in southern Baghdad, as well as in the districts of al-Rashidiya and Mahmudiyah, according to authorities. Three people, including a woman, were also rubbed out by unidentified gunnies, police sources added. Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi had lifted Baghdad's eight-year curfew on Feb. 7, citing "improved security conditions". |
