2015-06-01 |
[The Nation] Four soldiers and two students were wounded in a bomb explosion in Narathiwat province yesterday, causing a local school to immediately suspend classes. The soldiers, part of a security team providing protection to school teachers in Rangae district, were on patrol when a hidden bomb was detonated. Initial investigations suggested the blast was part of the ongoing insurgency in the deep South. Meanwhile, in Pattani province, gunmen opened fire on a ranger base in Yarang district on Thursday night. Fortunately, nobody was hurt. Witnesses said four people on two motorcycles opened fire before fleeing. The suspects are still on the lam. |
