[Philippine Star] An alleged political instructor for the New People's Army was arrested along with five other militants in Lupon, Davao Oriental yesterday. The suspects were identified as Ka Carla and the three of his five comrades as Renato Cuevas, one alias Gelai and alias Jessie.Lt. Col. Benjamin Tiangco said Ka Carla was a political instructor for the Communist Party of the Philippines-NPA in Mindanao. Tiangco said the militants did not resist arrest.
