US Government To Review Mystery Of Slow 1st Quarter Growth
2015-05-24
[HOSTED.AP.ORG] There's something strange about the U.S. economy in the first three months of every year: It frequently grows at a much slower pace than in the other nine months.
People spend a lot of money over Christmas and Hannukah. Holiday temp workers are laid off. Bad weather sets in and limits travel. What's so mysterious about that?
And on Friday, the government agency charged with calculating the economy's growth rate said it would adjust its methods in an effort to resolve the problem.

The changes could paint a much different picture of the economy's recent performance. Concerns flared when the government said late last month that the economy expanded just 0.2 percent at an annual rate in the first quarter. But many economists have challenged the government's data, and some have argued the first-quarter figure should be as high as 1.8 percent instead.

#8  Of course, democrats are un able to believe anything but a lie. That is why they are democrats.

Everyone looks great spending money they never made, spending the future - making debt to provide shiny things.

#7  It's what happens when you actually start believing the numbers you cook for public consumption. When facts don't match the model, throw out the facts. Then they can't understand why their programs don't work. I don't care how many pieces of paper from how many institutions these clowns have, if you can't grasp the fundamentals of testing theorems then the intellect is not there.

#6  They'll have the CIA 'alternate rendition' guys take the facts out and waterboard them until they say what the boys in front office want to hear.
Evidently SOP.

#5  I have been thinking about these cooked books for a while.

I do not even think I can trust any figures. It's like "global warming" data except I cannot use any of it as a reference because you do not know what is cooked.

Taxpayer funded book cooking for political power or gain.

#4  With obamacare, every "Employee" will cost more than $30,000 a year to keep full time.

That is hint #1.

Then take everything he as done. Reverse it, and you have a correct path, maybe, after they corrupted even that....

:(
