Nigerian army 'relocates' 275 Boko Haram survivors |

The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... , officials say. They said they were taken from a camp in the north-eastern city of Yola and flown to an unknown destination. Camp officials said there were suspicions some of the women had been communicating with holy warriors. Nigeria's military, which has not yet commented, has put increasing pressure on Boko Haram in recent months. Backed by soldiers from Chad, Cameroon ...a long, narrow country that fills the space between Nigeria and Chad on the northeast, CAR to the southeast. Prior to incursions by Boko Haram nothing ever happened there... and Niger, the Nigerian army has managed to liberate a number of towns from the Lions of Islam since they launched a military operation in February. However, some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them... sporadic attacks and violence have continued, with thousands killed in the last year alone. |
