30 casualties in Iraqi forces, ISIS seizes Jabbah area in al-Baghdadi District

[IraqiNews.com] On Thursday, a security source in Anbar province said, that 3 security elements have been killed and 27 others were maimed in an ISIS attack on Jabbah area.

The source told IraqiNews.com "This evening, ISIS turbans attacked, with two booby-trapped vehicles, the security forces in Jabbah area in the district of al-Baghdadi; killing 3 elements of the security forces and clan fighters and injuring 27 others," pointing out that, "The security forces have withdrawn and the turbans gained control over the entire area."

The district of al-Baghdadi is located 90 km west of Ramadi.

Baiji’s oil refinery could be destroyed during battle to save it

[IraqiNews.com] On Thursday, Rooters reported that ISIS Death Eaters have dug trenches around gas tanks at Baiji's oil refinery, raising the stakes in a battle where the price of victory may be the refinery itself and the Iraqi forces that are trapped inside it.

Rooters reported that 200 Iraqi security elements are trapped inside the refinery. A police source was quoted by Rooters as saying, "They have dug trenches near the hydrogen and natural gas tanks. The warplanes can not hit them because it is very dangerous and we could get killed too."

Another source said, "They are maintaining their momentum just like Kobani; they keep throwing people at the refinery. The only difference is that Kobani is a city and Baiji is an industrial facility, and it's difficult to manage a fight inside an area that is surrounded 360 degrees."

Volunteer forces shell ISIS sites southwest of Salahuddin

[IraqiNews.com] On Thursday, a military source within al-Hashed al-Sha'bi militia (better known as the Iraqi Volunteer Fighters) revealed, that al-Hashed al-Sha'bi forces have shelled sites for the ISIS turbans in two areas southwest of Salahuddin.

The commander of the 6th Brigade of al-Hashed al-Sha'bi, Mohammed Abbas, stated for IraqiNews.com, "Al-Hashed al-Sha'bi have shelled ISIS hideouts by rockets in the areas of al-Rufaiat and Sayed Gharib in southwest of Salahuddin," pointing out that, "The shelling came after ISIS turbans carried out a surprise attack against al-Hashed al-Sha'bi forces in the two areas."

Iraqi forces kill ISIS Mufti of Hamrin area in Salahuddin Province

[IraqiNews.com] A local source in Diyali province revealed Thursday, that a legitimate Mufti of ISIS has been killed in festivities with the security forces in the area of Hamrin.

The source informed IraqiNews.com, "Today, Iraqi joint security forces, with support from al-Hashed al-Sha'bi militia fighters have killed the so-called Abu Anas al-Iraqi alongside three of his aides in fierce battles in the surrounding area of Hamrin," pointing out that, "Abu Anas was the legitimate Mufti of ISIS within the so-called Imara (state) of al-Hwad al-Azim."

The officials added that al-Baghdadi is giving commands to direct ISIS strikes, and he is in charge of the daily operations.
