| New satellite imagery of a fake American aircraft carrier Iran tried to blow up |

 During the Great Prophet 9 exercises Iran targeted the vessel with a range of offensive equipment including swarms of fast attack craft, anti-ship missiles and ballistic missiles. Strikes were reportedly launched from both Bander Abbas and Jask. Phase 2 of the exercise saw Iranian Special Forces fast-rope from helicopters onto the barge surface and attack the mock-up's superstructure. A final wave included targeting by a suicide vessel and a coastal cruise missile. |

IMO its one of the reasons, but not the only one, as to why China is doing what she is doing via island reclamations in the South China Sea, i.e. the South China Sea that is directly across from the Northern Philipines, to include the Subic-Manila-Clark Regions, WHERE CHINA NEEDS TO BASE PLA LR AIRPOWER + ASBMS, ETC. TO DETER INCOMING US OR US-LED INTERVENING MILFORS. DITTO AS PER CHINA GETTING CONTROL OF TAIWAN, GUAM-WESTPAC, + EX-WW2 IJN CHUUK/TRUK LAGOON. Iran + IRGC = China + PLA = US + USDOD, etc. = all adhere AMAP to the adage of better to fight an Enemy(s) "OVER THERE [Over-The-Horizon], NOT OVER HERE". |
