| #12 Thanks to decades of non-deportations and allowing illegals to receive public assistance, I.E. LEGAL/POLITICAL PRECEDENTS, the same are now for all practical/effective purposes AMERICANS BY ANY OTHER NAME. It is such that one can argue that ITS NOW THE FED THAT IS MORE THAN NOT BREAKING US LAWS BY NOT GRANTING ILLEGALS FORMAL CITIZENSHIP, I.E. "GRANTING ALL THE BENEFITS BUT NOT THE PER SE TITLE". WHEN IS THE FED = WASHINGTON GOING TO ARREST + PUT ITSELF IN JAIL??? |

| #10 Some restaurants are openly adding a surcharge to cover the additional expense. Ive seen other places close down. A 'lunch' counter in my building recently closed down. It was fairly popular as well. |

| #9 Onliest problem KBK, is if she's in a low profit margin business (she is), the income from price increases is maybe later, but the wage increase is now. You'll note that she didn't do this right after the new ordinance came in force; she's tried it out for a few weeks, and evidently the numbers aren't there, so she's cutting her losses. She was the marginal case, and they're always the first to go. Now somebody else gets to be the marginal case. |

| #8 I don't have much use for the excuse that she can't afford the higher wage. The other pizza places are in the same boat, and all will have to pass the cost increase on as higher prices. That results in inflation. The winners will be the shops who are the most efficient with their labor (and who have the best pies). |

| #7 Amazon is in Seattle. Perhaps their Drones can deliver Amazon items on the way out (of Seattle) and Pizza on the way back (into Seattle). At least that way they aren't dead-heading back. (Actually I don't think their warehouses are in Seattle proper). |

| #2 Even the illegals would have to get the $15/hr as the wage police are out in force. We even have trash pooleece that can fine you for throwing too much food in the trash rather than compost it..... from the same mindset that builds (sometimes)floating bridges.... |
