French right deals major blow to ruling Socialists in local elections |
2015-03-31 |
...23rd President of the French Republic. Sarkozy is married to singer-songwriter Carla Bruni, who has a really nice birthday suit... and the far-right ahead of 2017 presidential elections. Right-wing parties, spearheaded by Sarkozy's UMP, won a thumping victory, taking 66 councils out of a possible 101, according to results compiled by AFP. Voters punished the Socialist government of President Francois Hollande ...the Socialist president of La Belle France, an economic bad joke for la Belle France but seemingly a foreign policy realist... for failing to revive the slumping economy, with left-wing parties winning only 34 councils.
