#13  Left very quickly with no "Go to hell plan?" Not surprised after Benghazi. Characteristic of this administration who views the American people as more of a threat than our foes in the M.E.

#12  I recall a recent story that the Houthis had looted Yemen interior ministry files that contained information about CIA informants and such, because my response was that at least they didn't get the actual CIA files. But we do sometimes make mistakes. Sorry, Bright Pebbles.

#8  Why not have a system that destroys this information at the press of a button.

#7  I seem to remember the Iranians doing something similar about 36 years ago.

History is a stubborn b*tch.

#4  What, no thermite left. I personally remember them laying around the vault (usually on top of the file cabinets) ready for use.

#3  Why keep paper files? In this day and age that's just plain stupid. Why not have a system that destroys this information at the press of a button.

#2  If you're running bilateral operations with the host-nation and they go down, get overrun etc, bad stuff happens.
