[ABS-CBN] At least 117 members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters and six soldiers have been killed since the Philippine military started its offensive against the insurgent group in Maguindanao on February 27. According to the military, the number of fatalities represents a third of the BIFF's strength.Eighteen-year-old Karie Uga Dia, identified as a BIFF militant, was killed during a clash in Shariff Saydona Mustapha in Maguindanao on Monday night. Another unnamed BIFF militant was killed in a separate encounter in the same town on Sunday.
