| Sudanese no longer barred from entering Libya |

| [Libya Herald] Sudanese nationals are no longer barred from travelling to Libya. Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Thinni has lifted the ban, just one month after it was put in place. The government clamped down on Sudanese, as well as Syrians and Paleostinians on 6 January because of supposed intelligence indicating that these countries were involved in "undermining" Libya's security and illusory sovereignty. Libya's Foreign Ministry has said that the ban was lifted "as an expression of gratitude" because of Sudan's support and efforts to further the reconciliation process in Libya. The ministry also said that Sudanese in Libya have played a key role in Libya's development, working as doctors, engineers, professors, professionals and manual labourers. |
