[REALCLEARPOLITICS] Chris My Thigh is Tingling!Matthews ... the late Tip O'Neill's former gopher who has magazines with centerfolds of Barack Obama praised a potential ![]() ... sometimes described as The Liberatress of Libyaand at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another Edward Everett... presidency where "she could really rule this country" as a result of a decisive electoral victory. "This country needs somebody to get control of it," Matthews said about a Clinton presidency on the Monday broadcast of his MSNBC show. "I think she should go for a 55% victory, 54% victory because then she could bring the House in, she could bring the Senate in and she could really rule this country. This country needs somebody to get control of it," Matthews told his Hardball audience.

#6 Public employees exist to serve, not rule, except in doctatorships. Part of that service ca be to lead, which is very different than to rule. That is something which the left and their footsoldiers in the public sector seem to have either forgotten or never understood in the first place. I wonder what Matthews would think about someone using the verb "rule" if a popularly elected person from the center/right were in office. No doubt he would be aghast. That would be appropriate also. The difference is that while people who are reasonable and morally consistent would prefer not to give that sort of power to ANYONE in government regardless of their political bent, the likes of Matthews are only offended when the opposition has it. Conclusion: they are not a moral or ethical movement, but power hungry autocrats. |

#2 After his rousing endorsement of youknowwho, Prissy Chrissy has no reliability as a recommendation. Sort of an F-6 in the old Intel grading system. |
