#4 Sorry, #2, I don't see Beijing accepting any sort of non-Marxist Communist, anti-China, "moderate" or non-aligned Govt in a reunified Korea. As said before, unless China gets back sovereign control of Taiwan it will not accept or support any reunification of the two Koreas. MOreso iff historical rival JAPAN is going to continue its claim to being #1 vee China in Asia or East Asia, andor the US continues to maintain an anti-China mil presence in Okinawa + SOKOR, etc. * TAIWAN = CHINA'S DESIRED FUTURE PLA "CENTCOM" INTO THE PACIFIC, MORESO THAN ITS MILBASES ON HAINAN OR OTHER. IIRC SINO-JAPANESE WAR AXIOM = "HE WHO CONTROLS KOREA + TAIWAN CAN THREATEN BOTH JAPAN + CHINA". In Beijing's mind, control of the Two Koreas/ Peninula + Taiwan are one + the same. China wants the SENKAKUS + OKINAWA ISLANDS to help protect sea lanes + espec its future PLA Centcom on Taiwan. Lastly, it is highly unlikely the Kim Family will accept a minor role in any such Inter-Korean "Unity" Govt, either for itself or for NOKOR-styled methods of national governance. * WORLD NEWS > [Stars-N-Stripes] VIETNAM TO WELCOME BACK US WID OPEN ARMS. US FDI + Cam Ranh Bay, besides also RUSSIA, ETAL. Again, China is unhappy because Vietnam seemingly invited everyone in the World, including Muslim nations Turkey + Pakistan + Rising Iran, to Cam Ranh Bay EXCEPT CHINA. * IIRC DEFENCE.PK/FORUMS > [Voice of Vietnam] CHINA CAN'T ALTER LEGITIMATE RIGHTS OF VIETNAM IN EAST SEA [Islands, EEZ = South China Sea]. Manila = Philippines says ditto. |

#3 Plan for Iran would be to remove the Executive Order against assassinations and start taking down a few leaders as opportunity presents. |

#2 Personally I'd get the South Koreans to go to Beijing and suggest a non-nuclear, non-aligned, united Korea is their goal. I suspect the Chinese would be receptive. |

#1 We do need a smarter foreign policy. Iran comes to mind also. They are playing us. Presently, we have a failed foreign policy contrary to what Obumble promised long ago in 2008. |
