| #4 Timely release of "rumors" - veiled threats and designed to derail Bibi's re-election hopes. Obama knows that if he slaps sanctions on Israel then she will disregard anything he does, so he won't (just yet), however he also knows the threat of sanctions may force cooperation from the elements within the electorate who fear isolation. For the Israeli majority this tact will only foment more anti-Obama sentiment and remind Israel that she can no longer rely on a once great ally. |
