| Three killed, one injured in southern Thailand |

| Three people were killed and one wounded as the insurgency continued in Thailand's deep South. A 52-year-old woman was gunned down early yesterday as she was riding a motorcycle in Narathiwat's Rangae district. The villager had left her home to buy food, when two men following her on another motorbike shot her twice before fleeing. She died immediately. Police put the attack down to insurgency. Early yesterday morning, police in Pattani's Thung Yang Daeng district learned that a former district official had been fatally shot in the torso and head.
