| #5 If I recall, he's got some issues that will cause the NRA to stay home on election day. We really don't want that many voters staying home on election day. There is still a lot of time to get ahead of that issue, redefine his positions, but he better get started if he's serious. |

| #3 Dr. Carson is brilliant in his field, and has some keen insights into the human condition. But he is not a seasoned politician at any level; should he seriously compete in the political arena, he'll get eaten alive, just like the several others who've tried it in the past. Still, his very presence will force discussions into new channels until he is driven away. |
