House Dems fret debilitating losses |
2014-10-29 |
[POLITICO] The political environment continues to deteriorate for House Democrats ahead of a midterm election thatâs certain to diminish their ranks. With President Barack Obamaâs unpopularity hindering their candidates and Republican cash flooding into races across the country, Democrats are increasingly worried that the election will push them deep into the minority and diminish their hopes of winning back the majority in 2016 or beyond. And the solution isn't to change what they're doing. Instead they'll keep saying the same things, only louder. |

#9 We are largely a Republican part of the country. We had two Democratic county judges who had been office for many years and by all accounts did a good job. Anti-Obama fever is high and these two judges got tossed by the voters in an August election. |

#8 RINOs are more susceptible to Tea Party pressure so may be moved in the right direction. |

#7 RINOs can be pressured to vote with their party; Democrats are less likely to cross party lines, even if they and their voters agree. |

#6 I fret that the RINOs won't be much better. |

#5 It pisses me off how any article about Dem losses has to contain a statement about Republican cash flooding into races. WTF did Soros and Steyr go broke when I wasn't looking? Did the Dems spend 0$ this year? The partisans with by-lines just can't quit. |

#1 Wouldn't it be nice if all the Democratic incumbents were defeated? |
