| Paghman Rapists, Kidnapper Put to Death |

| [Tolo News] The five convicted Paghman rapists and infamous kidnapping ringleader Habib Astalif were executed by hanging at Pol-e-Charkhi prison on Wednesday. The five Paghman men were put to death after being convicted for robbery and the kidnapping and rape of four women last month. Their case caused outrage around the country, and calls for their execution eventually came all the way from the Presidential Palace. Three additional suspects are still at-large. The other criminal put to death once topped the country's most wanted list. Habibullah Estalifi was convicted of multiple counts of armed robbery, kidnapping and murder. |
