IS insurgents hide behind civilian homes to avoid airstrikes |
2014-09-27 |
[ARABNEWS] Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... gunnies are changing tactics in the face of US air strikes in northern Iraq, ditching conspicuous convoys in favor of cycle of violences and planting their black flags on civilian homes, tribal sources and eyewitnesses say. They reported fewer bad boy checkpoints to weed out "apostates" and less cell phone use since the air strikes intensified and more US allies pledged to join the campaign that began in August, saying the gunnies had also split up to limit casualties. |

#9 You know, some grenades thrown into those holes might be mighty effective compared to a missle. |

#8 In perhaps the most obvious indication the gunnies are wary of the strikes, they have taken to digging and hiding in trenches -- just big enough for two people -- in residents' backyards. Abdul...you wanna, know, go hide from the airstrikes again? Makmud..no...you know...I think I'm coming down with a headache. |
