[Iran Press TV] Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki has declared his bid for re-election in the country's first presidential vote since the ouster of former dictator, Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.Marzouki was picked as president in December 2011 in a vote in the National Constituent Assembly, which was elected after the ouster of Ben Ali in a popular revolution earlier in the same year.
The 69-year-old started his re-election campaign with an attack on "dirty money" in politics on Saturday.
"My candidacy is an example of transparency," Marzouki said after registering for the vote, which is set to be held on November 23, adding, "We must not allow corruption in this first democratic experience."
