Train service suspended in southern Thailand after bombing |
2014-09-14 |
Local train services were suspended in Thailand's far south after a bomb destroyed a section of the track in Narathiwat's Rangae district yesterday morning. Workers are expected to start repairing the tracks today so trains can resume service on the route as soon as possible. The blast damaged 20 meters of track, creating a crater three meters wide and a meter deep. An investigation indicated that a home-made bomb was placed inside a gas cylinder and detonated by a communication radio. |
