MOGADISHU -- Al Shabaab gunmen have killed counter-terrorism taskforce official in a drive-by shooting in Mogadishu's Wadajir district on Saturday, Garowe Online reports.The assailants initially trailed Intelligence official Mohamed Qeyne in a vehicle and afterwards sprayed his car with bullets, sources stated. Witnesses say, among those who were confirmed dead along with Qeyne were bodyguards.
Beleaguered Al Shabaab group immediately claimed credit for the killing, saying they targeted the official and his security escorts in planned attack.
