 on Friday played down chances of an imminent broad coalition against Islamic State bully boys, illustrating the difficulty Washington faces winning commitment for a military campaign in the heart of the Middle East.

Kerry met Turkish leaders to try to secure support for U.S.-led action against Islamic State, but Ankara's reluctance to play a frontline role highlighted the challenges of building a willing coalition to wage what will likely be a tough offensive.

#4  Why would anyone tie themselves to proven incompetents only to be thrown under the bus abandoned when stuff starts hitting the wall? The only coalition these guys can still muster is a foursome on the golf course and that's becoming iffy.

A spiteful person would point out that BHO's entire plan depends entirely on a broad coalition.
