India responsible for floods in Pakistan, claims Siraj |

The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independentbranch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores... Sirajul Haq ...current head of the Pak Jamaat-e-Islami. Siraj was born in 1962 and entered politics shortly after that... today asked the National Disaster Management Authority to apprise nation of its measure taken to contain floods-related losses. Inaugurating the relief camp of Al-Khimat Foundation in Lahore, the JI chief said a sum of Rs 10.3 million had been provided by the people of Lahore for flood-hit people. He said the current floods wreaked havoc on Pakistain as India released excessive water to Pak rivers. "These floods are the fifth Indian attack on Pakistain," he said, adding India was responsible for floods-related destruction in Pakistain. "The government's work has just confined to burying people [instead of the saving them from being fallen prey to the natural calamity," said the JI emir. He appealed the Moslem countries to run fund-raising campaign for flood-affected people of Pakistain. |

#1 He said the current floods wreaked havoc on Pakistain as India released excessive water to Pak rivers. For a second I thought it was due to rain-dancers. Or global warming. |
