[Dhaka Tribune] Bangladesh Bank has identified 10 accounts of private banks that were used for transacting large amounts of money suspected to have been used for financing murderous Moslem activities, including purchase of weapons and organising subversive activities.The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) at Bangladesh Bank recently sent a 90-page report on its findings to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police for investigating the account details and bringing the perpetrators to book. The DMP later passed on the report to the Detective Branch of police for further investigation.
Sheikh Nazmul Alam, deputy commissioner of the DB police, said procedures were under way to take action against those who were responsible for financing murderous Moslem activities.
