US airstrikes in Iraq hit Islamic State vehicles
2014-09-10
[Ynet] The US military says it launched five more Arclight airstrikes in support of Iraqi government troops and Sunni rustics protecting the Haditha Dam against fighters of the Islamic State group that controls parts of northern and western Iraq.

Central Command says that a combination of US attack, fighter and drone aircraft destroyed or damaged eight armed vehicles, two of which were transporting anti-aircraft artillery near the dam. It says six other vehicles also were struck.

The attacks were carried out overnight Monday into Tuesday morning.

#8  According to the 'aviationist.com' website, we are also using F-15Es. guess that would be the drone /UAV version...?

#7  There's gotta be some kind of joke in there about bombing our own MRAPs and Humvees. Oh well, I guess it's better than them ending up over here with a new paint job and a local PD decal on the side.

Also better than IS using them as VBIEDs around Baghdad (which already has occurred.)

#4  Where are the pictures now?

We were always at war with Eastasia.

BTW, you notice all the anti-war demonstrations starting up? And the constant evening propaganda news coverage of them? It wasn't just political theater was it? /sarc off

#2  When GHWB sent the men into the mid-east to push back Hussein, we got almost hourly video from CNN on the air attacks including things like the bridge being blown just after a vehicle passes by.

Where are the pictures now?
