| Two Civilians Killed in Pakistani Shelling in Kunar |

| [Tolo News] At least two Afghan non-combatants were killed and six others were maimed by a Pak military missile attack in eastern Kunar province ... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country..... , local officials said on Monday. According to the Kunar Police Chief Abdul Habib Sayedkhili, the Pak military have fired 85 missiles into Dangam, Marawara and Shegal districts of the province in the past 24 hours. "The victims included women and kiddies from the same family," he added. "Their house was hit by a missile in Dangam district." The missile attacks have resulted in the displacement of many families in the districts, adding to the existing insecurities and economic difficulties in the province. Many families struggle to make ends meet as they have lost their sole breadwinners because of the shelling. The Pak military has fired more than 5,000 missiles on Afghan soil in the past year alone. Local officials report that more than 2,000 families have been displaced in result of the constant blind attacks. |
