| 48 Taliban Insurgents Killed in Balkh Raids |

| [Tolo News] At least 48 Taliban bully boyz were killed and 34 others were maimed in an Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) operation in northern Balkh province in the past four days, local official said on Sunday, adding that two ANSF coppers were also killed in the attack. According to the Balkh police chief's front man, Shirjan Durani, the operation was launched four days ago in Chamtal and Koh-e --Alburz districts of the province, ending on Saturday night. The operation was to remove the rising holy warrior threats in the area and respond to the continuous attacks on the ANSF outposts. |
