[DAWN] At least three tribal police force personnel were killed and another injured in an attack by unidentified gunnies on security checkposts in main Jamrud Bazaar of Khyber tribal region.Sources said that the attackers stormed main Jamrud Bazaar from the Shahkas and Ghundi areas and targeted the Khasadar force personnel deputed at check posts in the Bazaar.
The sources further said that at least three checkposts were attacked simultaneously by the attackers and added that the exchange gunfire continued till the filing of this report.
Khyber is among Pakistain's seven semi-autonomous tribal districts near the Afghan border, rife with homegrown Death Eaters and home to religious Death Eater organizations.
